“The only one in your way is you, so get out of your way.”

 

A phrase I’ve had to remind myself over these crazy few years. I was a school teacher during the start of the pandemic and I, like others, struggled with my mental and physical health. What was worse was watching my young elementary students struggle. I saw so many tears since these young kids had no outlet for their pain like adults had. I wanted to do something about it. Teaching dance and fitness to my students is what helped me get through my low moments, but more importantly brought my students out of theirs — thus leading to the beginning of BA Studios.

 

I took my first ballet class when I was 3 years old, and haven’t stopped dancing since. My passion for teaching started at 14 at a local ballet studio. Over the years I had the privilege to study with over 12 different dance companies including the American Ballet Theater and the University of Arizona School of Dance. I received my teaching and dance education at the University of Arizona and have been working with children for the last 6 years. I have danced on just about every stage in Tucson and taught dance at 5 local elementary schools. These past couple years I worked towards receiving my Personal Training Certification from NCSF, Group Fitness Certification from ACE, and RYT 200-Hour Certification from Yoga Renew. Dance & Fitness is my passion and made me who I am today, and I want to share that passion with my own studio.
